Celebration of Queer Joy returns for its third year during the ASCO Annual Meeting and at the start of Pride Month, creating a welcoming space for LGBTQ+ individuals impacted by cancer to gather in community.

This evening brings together survivors, caregivers, clinicians, researchers, advocates, and allies for connection and celebration. In a field often centered on clinical outcomes, Celebration of Queer Joy highlights the human side of cancer care — identity, belonging, resilience, and the importance of affirming spaces throughout the cancer journey.

This event offers opportunities to build relationships across lived experience and professional roles, strengthening partnerships that support more inclusive and equitable care. It is a space where patients meet providers, advocates meet researchers, and community grows in ways that extend far beyond one evening.

Celebration of Queer Joy is a visible reminder that care is not only medical, it is also emotional, social, and deeply human.
